GDW Analysis:
Bob Jones Patriots came to Cullman High School for the first time in the 2025 football opener with the Bearcats from Britton Field/Woodard Stadium.
The 7A school returned to Madison with a 28 to 3 victory, spoiling the debut of Trent Walker as Cullman's head coach.
An athletic Bob Jones team, led by senior QB Ga'kobey Gill, wore down the Bearcats as the game moved along.
Two scoring drives of 70 and 80 yards enabled the Patriots to break a scoreless tie in the 2nd quarter and gain a 14 to 0 advantage at the half.
Cullman showed some good moments in the first half.

The Bearcats moved the ball from their 31 to the Bob Jones 14 in their initial series thanks to good running from Weston Keel and Tyler Brock and some passes completed by QB Clayton Colvard.
Cullman failed to score when a field goal attempt from 21 yards out missed.
Bob Jones would earn two TDs in the 2nd quarter with 5:26 to play and the 2nd score at 47 seconds remaining.

The first time the Patriots got the ball in the 3rd, they threw a 65 yard scoring pass and put the game out of reach at 21 to 0.
Another big play by Bob Jones was an 80 yard pass play from Gill. At the end of the third, the Patriots were leading 28 to 0.
A field goal by the Bearcats in the 4th was good for them to get on the scoreboard.
From there, the 'Cats could not penetrate deep downfield with Bob Jones defeating the 'Cats for the 2nd consecutive year.

The road opener for Cullman in Walker's rookie season will be Friday at Mortimer Jordan.
The game will be on cullmanbearcats.com
