Great effort in 2nd half gives Lady Bearcats a playday victory:

Cullman stays focused on its gameplan and succeeds:

GDW Analysis:
HANCEVILLE: New Cullman Lady Bearcats coach Tammy West is seeing effort on the floor.
After an unimpressive first half of a playday game from Wallace State vs. West Morgan Thursday afternoon, the Lady 'Cats stayed in gameplan mode with it being carried by a 37 to 18 finale.
Cullman's shooting was off target in the opening half as they ended the period with only 8 points. The Lady 'Cats also had a lapse in their pressure defense with West Morgan scoring several times against it and ahead at the break 14 to 8.
Showing poise, the Lady 'Cats executed better on offense and the defense adjusted as West Morgan managed four points in the final 20:00 of this playday from Tom Drake Coliseum.
Gameday Weekly has analyzed the strength of the team comes from an experienced frontline of forwards Rachel Hoffman, Molly Dorough and center Molly Wilson.
West is watching her backcourt work on executing in running the offense and knock down long range shots.
Junior to be shooting guard Kaylee Johnson made the best of the situation with some long range conversions in a 29 to 4 second half scoring streak.
Senior to be Kadence Hanback is a player West looks for in her ability to hit from the perimeter.
GDW followed the 2nd half surge for Cullman with Wilson finding her way to score inside the paint and full out hustle by Hoffman.
With plenty of positive coming in a short period of time during the last half, the Cullman bench expressed enthusiasm from West, her assistant coaches and the players.
New athletic director Mike Dean was nearby and showing support with the quest of making progress going from one assignment to the next.
From GDW analysis, Cullman has posted 3 wins in 4 playday games from Wallace State.
Earlier on Thursday, Cullman was a winner over Wilson, a 4A school from Florence.

What is next up for West and the Lady 'Cats is a playday Monday from their arch rival Hartselle High School.
Cullman will take on Madison County at 9:00 a.m. and battle Columbia of Huntsville at 10:50 a.m.
Other games covered by GDW from Wallace:
Guntersville 51, Priceville 29
Athens 38, Wilson 23
Scottsboro 31, Priceville 25
Guntersville 40, Athens 25
Guntersville went from a 26 to 23 halftime edge over Priceville by outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 25 to 6 in the final half for a runaway triumph.
Priceville gave Scottsboro a great challenge, leading for much of the contest before Scottsboro finished with a surge in avoiding an upset to the 5A program from Morgan County.
Senior to be center Abby Langlois is doing well for Priceville after missing last season with an ACL injury.

Scottsboro utilized the play of PG Ella White and F isabella Nelson to help the Lady Wildcats with a 17 to 8 2nd half advantage after they were behind at the half, 18 to 14.
Athens shook off a sluggish first half with Wilson by putting a 25 to 13 advantage on the scoreboard in the final half. A key for the success for Athens was from the leadership of PG Brooklyn Anderson.
Guntersville and Athens closed out the agenda with a hotly intense battle. Guntersville saw a 21 to 14 lead by halftime become larger in showing better execution on the offensive side than Athens.
A key for Kelly Robinson's Lady Wildcats was working the ball in the paint often to freshman to be Bristol Cook.
Cook is 6'3" with good moves in which the defense found it to be a challenge when the game went into crunch time.
Wallace State has hosted four playdays in the last two weeks.
The next one to be conducted by Joseph Simmons' Lady Lions is Monday.
Making a return will be Hillcrest Tuscaloosa led by new coach, former Wallace State and Cullman mentor Jessica McBrayer.
McBrayer brought the 7A state runner up to the Coliseum June 09 and they went back to T-town undefeated, finishing the day in a hard fought 51 to 35 victory against Good Hope.
Hillcrest will match up with Chelsea at 12:40 p.m. and East Limestone at 3:20 p.m.
