GOOD HOPE: A large crowd was on hand Tuesday to see Good Hope middle school get its basketball season under way in claiming victory vs. Hanceville Middle School.
7th grade:

 A fast start in the 7th grade game for Good Hope had the Raiders up 14 to 2 after the first and 24 to 6 by halftime.
The Good Hope girls gained control in the 3rd period after the battle was tied with Hanceville at the break.
Good Hope tallied a 14 to 2 and went to the final stanza with a 20 to 8 advantage.
In the 8th grade clash, Hanceville made up a 14 to 5 deficit o trail 17 to 14 before Good Hope finished on a 9 to 2 run and led at the half 26 to 16.
The Raiders broke the game open on a 10 to 3 surge in the 3rd to lead 36 to 19.
