Vinemont needs to win twice against Locust Fork to clinch the No. 1 seed from 3A, Area 12.
Good Hope has a good start, but the Raiders have no room for error in a tough series with West Morgan this week, then against East Lawrence the week after.
The Raiders have the longest drought of not being in the playoffs currently. They made the postseason last time in 2021.
Cullman is up against long time rival Jasper to open the area schedule.
The Bearcats are out to get back to the playoffs after missing it in 2024, the first time in over 20 years Cullman was not a playoff qualifier.
The area champion will host a playoff series against a runner from a cross over area.
