Local school systems closed Monday due to winter weather issues:
No basketball games will be played locally on January 26, 2026:
GDW Analysis: Potential problems from a winter storm system has prompted the local school systems to not be in the classroom on Monday. Cullman County Schools and Cullman City Schools have announced their systems will not operate regular on January 26 of 2026. Also, extracurricular activities for this day has been called off. The following basketball games will not be played: East Lawrence at West Point Danville at Vinemont No word has been given for games on January 27: St. Bernard at Cullman Christian Lawrence Co at Holly Pond Good Hope at Susan Moore Corner at Hanceville Falkville at Vinemont Cordova at Cold Springs Bob Jones at Cullman This is the final full week of the regular season schedule for AHSAA basketball. Some teams will play February 3 with the postseason to begin the weekend of February 7 & 8 with area playoffs. Stay tuned for updates once they become available to Gameday Weekly.
