Local softball working through challenging situations:

All local teams going through the process of displaying winning times:

GDW Analysis:
Local softball is working through a process as the 2026 AHSAA season is almost a month into the schedule.
Teams are trying to handle adversity with ball clubs trying to find a winning formula and take it into the end of March with the Cullman County tournament and the postseason due up in April.
Cold Springs:
According to reports, the Lady Eagles are 4 & 6 after a 2 & 2 time over the weekend at the Falkville Invitational.
The Lady Eagles are scheduled Tuesday for area play at Sumiton Christian.
Paige Adam's group continues a road tour with a trip to Vinemont Thursday.

 Cullman:
A very good start for the Lady Bearcats with new coach Drew Adams. Cullman has 14 wins out of 16 games. Cullman is to play at Mortimer Jordan Tuesday in 6A, Area 13. They are 1 & 0 in the area and on a 3 game winning streak.
Fairview:
Last weekend was good for Fairview with Brian Simmons' Lady Eagles on an upswing for five consecutive victories.
They were the only group to compile a 4 & 0 mark at Falkville after they had a 7 to 6 win last Thursday against Cold Springs.
Overall, the Lady Aggies enter this week with 7 wins against 6 losses.
Good Hope:
This is a squad with a lot of returning personnel that is fighting the challenges of providing the needs for complete game efforts.
The Lady Raiders are 5 & 4 for the season as they are at Danville Tuesday to open 4A, Area 13 in the quest of defending their title.

Tim Tucker's Lady Raiders have split recent matchups in wins and losses against Gardendale and Mountain Brook. The loss to Gardendale was last week in a 6 to 1 score after they had beaten them February 27 in the Gardendale Invitational.
Hanceville:
What went well for new coach Kim Lewis last week was two wins by Hanceville, one over Holly Pond and wins from Falkville against Lindsay Lane and Randolph County.
The Lady Bulldogs went 5 & 1 last week and are 2 & 0 from play in AHSAA 3A Area 11.
Holly Pond:
The Lady Broncos have yet recorded a victory through 8 assignments,
Holly Pond is working on overcome problems in scoring runs as they have been outscored 54 to 9 in their last 4 games.
Holly Pond returns to the diamond Wednesday for area play with Locust Fork and hosts JB Pennington in area play Thursday.
Vinemont:

Vinemont was doing well until county and area foe Hanceville cooled off the Lady Eagles' momentum. The Lady Eagles fell for the first time last Thursday by a 15 to 3 final with Hanceville at home.

Hanceville then took down the Lady Eagles in the Falkville Invitational. Vinemont did claim wins against Lindsay Lane and Randolph County to salvage the short visit into Morgan County.
The Lady Eagles are at Locust Fork Tuesday with a 1 & 1 record in 3A Area 11 and 7 & 3 for the current season.

 West Point:
Kevin Folds' 2nd year with the Lady Warriors has been an uphill battle with one victory in their last 6 games. Three of these losses by margins of 1 run to Lawrence County, Colbert County and Curry.
A 5 & 7 record for a group with experience and newcomers as West Point welcomes Russellville to Mike Brown Field Tuesday for 5A Area 15, is home to Danville on Thursday in non area play.

 Outlook:

Working through adjustments in numerous phases of the game is how each team is approaching what's ahead for them with two weeks left of games to close the March schedule.
