Local basketball has put together a solid week of winning heading into Friday's schedule.
Through games played January 27 and 29, the thrill of victory has been associated with teams covered regularly by Gameday Weekly 13 out of 17 opportunities.
Girls' programs have made it enjoyable in posting a 9 & 0 record.

West Point 58, East Lawrence 30 (WP 24 & 1)
Vinemont 65, Arab 57 (VM 18 & 9)
Holly Pond 61, Addison 27 (HP 11 & 13)

 Fairview 75, Lawrence Co 66 (FV 13 & 12)

 West Point is on a 24 game winning streak and currently 4th in the 5A state poll.
Vinemont finished its home schedule Thursday in outscoring Arab. The Lady Eagles have earned 9 wins at the Pinnacle this season against 3 losses.
Holly Pond and Fairview have put together back to back victories between Tuesday and Thursday. Fairview is a game above the .500 mark overall and Holly Pond has won three straight from the friendly confines of Dwayne Adams Court/Felton Easterwood Gymnasium.

 Victory by Holly Pond was huge in knocking off the No. 5 team currently in Class 1A in double overtime.
West Point now has a 20 win season for the 3rd consecutive year to go with winning the Cullman County title for the first time since 2012.
Vinemont's momentum got slowed up in a home loss to Arab while Fairview and Good Hope were unable to claim victory in road trips to Moulton for Fairview and Florette for Good Hope.
