West Point's Aris has a good day on the golf course in All Star play:

MONTGOMERY: Competition began in the 29th Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) All Star Sports Week Monday.
From Arrowhead Country Club, West Point golfer Charli Aris displayed greatness in sharing North MVP honors with Emma Jones of Boaz.
Aris is coming off a fine 2025 season on the links and was given an invitation to be a part of the battle of the best of the North against the best of the South for 18 holes of play.
Aris will enter her senior season at West Point then look ahead to her collegiate time on the links with Wallace State Community College.
Taking care of local business before heading to the All Star activity:
Two local athletes were involved in a school related issue Monday prior to reporting for the AHSAA all star sports week.
Cold Springs cross country runner Paizley Whitlow and Vinemont basketball player Reagan Robinson participated in the Cullman County fall sports media day from the CCBOE conference room.
After departing the media day, the two prepared to head to the Capitol City in representing their respective school plus Cullman County.
Whitlow will run for the North Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. from Gateway Park.
Robinson will be on the hardwood of the Cramton Bowl Multiplex Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
Whitlow is the 7th consecutive Cold Springs runner to be in the all star event, her coach Casey Howell said at media day Monday morning.
Whitlow is part of the Cold Springs squad that won the 1A/2A championship last November at Oakville Indian Mounds Park.
Robinson is the first Vinemont player invited to the basketball all star series.
Robinson was the No. 1 point guard according to Gameday Weekly in helping the Lady Eagles to a school record 22 victories.
Robinson was speaking to the media about Vinemont volleyball Monday with her teammate Addison Holcomb and head coach Kaydi Woodard.
