MONTGOMERY: Paizley Whitlow joined forces with a solid group of North cross country runners to help them to victory in the annual AHSAA All Star run from Gateway Park Tuesday morning.
The Cold Springs senior grabbed a Top 10 finish, coming in 10th with a time of 21:32. 65.
Team North dominated the South runners with 7 of the Top 10 displaying respectable times.
Whitlow spoke with Gameday Weekly after the run. She described it as running on a flat course and facing humid conditions with the heat index in  the mid 90s when the race began at 8:00 a.m.
Brewer runner Rose Betts led the North by taking 1st at 18:20.43. She finished ahead of South runner Shelby Farguson from Bayside Academy. Farguson ended the run at 18:43.11.

 Third place was earned by the North with Katie Mae Coan of Lawerence County 19:26.97.
Fifth, sixth and seventh was North dominance. Amelia Wilbourn 5th at 20:04.71, Catrina Williams 6th with a time of 20:24.83, Lena Anne Parker7th at 21:03.03.
Wilbourn runs for Huntsville, Williams is a senior at Oak Mountain, Parker competes for Briarwood Christian.
The North team was coached by Jamie Watts of Central Clay County.
Whitlow ran the event with family members, teammates and Cold Springs coach Casey Howell supporting her too.
Her future collegiate coach, Tony Crider of Wallace State was on hand.
