No playoff BB for Cullman & Vinemont on Friday:

Wet weather delays the start of Round 2 of baseball playoffs:

GDW Analysis:
Wet weather earned victory against AHSAA baseball playoff assignments on Friday for the Cullman Bearcats and Vinemont Eagles.
The two local survivors from the Gameday Weekly coverage area could not begin play in the 2nd round of their respective class after rainfall was reported on Friday.
Cullman:
Bearcats vs. Pell City in 6A 2nd round
Game 1 Saturday 12:00 p.m.
Game 2 Saturday 2:00 p.m.
Game 3 Monday 6:00 p.m. (If)
Bearcats come into the 2nd round with consecutive shutout wins over Hazel Green last Friday.
Cullman is reported to be at 19 & 15 according to the AHSAA. Pell City has 17 wins against 11 losses. The winner of this series will play the winner of Homewood vs. Hartselle in the quarterfinals.
The games will be carried live on 98.3 FM.


Vinemont:
Eagles at Phil Campbell in 3A 2nd round
Game 1 Saturday 3:00 p.m.
Game 2 Saturday 5:00 p.m.

 Game 3 Monday (If) TBA
Vinemont was battled tested last week when Randolph County upset the Eagles 7 to 4 in the opener from Mike Cupp Field.
The Eagles bounced back in a long and high scoring 2nd game, 15 to 12.
In the decisive 3rd game, the Eagles soared to the lead early and went on to a 19 to 2 romp.
Hunter Corenlius' Eagles have 24 wins out of 33 games.
Phil Campbell enters the round of 16 with 20 wins & 12 losses.
The winner will meet the winner of Lauderdale Co vs. Winfield in the quarterfinals.
