With it being Thanksgiving week, a traditional event is prep basketball tournaments with two in Cullman County that have endured great longevity and a girls classic up the road in Hartselle as they look forward to the 2025 edition.
Holly Pond is in its 71st year of the Thanksgiving Tournament, the most active of its kind in the history of AHSAA hoops.
Hanceville began host during Thanksgiving weekend in 1983 and keeps it tradition for half of the field is local participation.
The girls classic in Hartselle has spanned a series of years now with local squads accepting invitations to be a part of this spectacular in playing good opposition.
