Plenty of staff changes as new school year is here:
Day 1 for the county schools, city was in class on Wednesday:

GDW Analysis:
Vacation time is over.
Cullman County schools opened the 2025/26 school year Thursday.
Cullman City Schools got a jump on the county with first day of class taking place Wednesday.
Plenty of changes have taken place in the administrative role for county schools and Cullman since the end of May.
Principal:
Good Hope is the only high school with a change in leadership.
Jyme Jennings was hired by the school to replace Scott Brown as he retired in May, ending 28 years working in the county system.
All other schools remain intact with the following:
Eric Dickerson at Cold Springs, Allison Tuggle at Cullman, Brad Stapler at Fairview, Nate Ayers at Holly Pond, Daniel Wakefield at Hanceville, Robin Netherton at Vinemont and Wes Black at West Point.
Assistant Principal:
This position encountered a huge change with five schools replacing vacancies.
April Burgess is in the assistant role at Cold Springs, Preston Boyd got hired at Good Hope, Adriana Skutchan moved from Good Hope to Holly Pond, Cody Harris takes over the assistant job at Vinemont and Whitney Young is now at West Point.
Back for another year as assistant principal is Aaron Sparks at Cullman, George Redding at Fairview and Emily Brown at Hanceville.
Athletic Director:
Mike Dean started his first full season as AD at Cullman High Wednesday.
Dean was hired back in January and in the summer, was promoted from interim to full time.
Beth Taylor now runs athletics at Good Hope after Scott Adams retired.
Cody Harris was promoted to the AD position at Vinemont.
West Point athletics are shared between football coach Kevin McCrary and basketball coach Mason Voce.
Casey Howell is AD for Cold Springs, Brian Simmons at Fairview, Emily Brown at Hanceville, Brett Neal at Holly Pond.

The staff and management representing Gameday Weekly and WKUL FM looks to continue a good relationship with the schools in the Cullman County system and also with Cullman High School.
"Our purpose is to promote the student athlete in the positive way as well as their coaches and members of their administration," Flash said.
Broadcasting local sports on 92.1 FM is through dedicated leadership of General Manager/Owner Ron Mosley Sr. He has been an impact to the Cullman area since he came here from Columbus, Mississippi in 1982.
A solid effort in his role is Program Director Ron Mosley Jr. Jr conducts from the studio with great pride to present quality programming in each sport that airs on 92.1 FM and its sister station, 98.3 FM, with Cullman athletics in that role.
Gameday Weekly is a huge connection for the importance of providing updated information to many that follow via social media.
Flash heads up this position in being associated with Cullman County area athletics for 45 years.
Announcers that have made great contributions for WKUL in recent years have been Rich Jesse, Pete Kirby, Jimmy Dale Burgess, Ron Stone, Randy Burks.
Each of this group is preparing for the 2025/26 athletic season with football to be on the air with Hanceville at Cold Springs on 92.1 FM August 21, Bob Jones at Cullman on 98.3 FM August 22 and Holly Pond at Appalachian on hollypondbroncos.com August 22.
