Prep basketball playdays close out the 2025 schedule:

Fairview Lady Aggies end final week of playdays 7 & 0:

GDW Analysis:
Prep basketball playdays for teams sanctioned by the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) closed out the 2025 schedule on Friday.

Gameday Weekly's final assignment was from Dwayne Adams Court/Felton Easterwood Gymnasium at Holly Pond HS.
One club that said goodbye to the activity with plenty of momentum was the Fairview Lady Aggies.
Fairview won its last seven assignments, going 3 & 0 at Jacksonville State, 2 & 0 at Danville and beating Brewer and Addison Friday from Holly Pond.
The Lady Aggies rallied from a 12 to 5 deficit vs. Brewer, claiming a 45 to 36 triumph.
It was different for Chris Nichols' Lady Aggies with Addison. Fairview sprinted to an 18 to 0 advantage enroute to winning 42 to 27.
Fairview has steady players back to keep the positive going after a winning campaign last year, Nichols 2nd year.

Whitney Quick showed her shooting skills in both games, attacking the basket and hitting from long range.
Supporting Quick was good scoring by Davi Stidham, the play of PG Darby Nichols and Kailyn Redding making an impact from her forward position.

Nichols was able to utilize his bench in the quest to gain depth.
Fairview is lined up in a very tough 5A, Area 14 with defending state champion Scottsboro, regional finalist Arab and a competitive Guntersville group.
The Lady Aggies have the tools to make it challenging for these opponents and will factor in during play in Cullman County next season.
Elsewhere:
A good summer ended for Holly Pond Lady Broncos on their floor against Brewer and Addison.
The Lady Broncos had to play the summer without Ava Thomas who is recovering from ACL surgery.
Coach Mary Hartline has solid performers with experience led by PG Madison Butts, SG Maggie Nail and C Sadie Nail. Several others look to contribute with three entering their freshman season and three now sophomores.
Cullman Lady Bearcats and West Point Lady Warriors went to a playday at Athens HS.
Cullman got to deal with the talented Belle Hill and the Mars Hill Lady Panthers in one game and met Giles County of Tennessee in the other.
West Point was matched up with Madison Academy and finished the playday series taking  on Athens.
Good Hope Lady Raiders paid a visit to the University of Alabama Huntsville in the Allen Sharpe playday series.
The 4A runner up drew a couple of schools from Marshall County for good challenges. Good Hope went to battle Friday morning vs. Albertville and later in the day, met Guntersville.
Three straight days of hoops for the Cullman Bearcats ended with the 6A program in Guntersville playing at Supreme Courts Friday vs. James Clemens and 6A state champion Pinson Valley.
Cullman was in a playday at Wallace State Wednesday then journey to a playday Thursday from Dora High School.

With new coach Griffin Morris, the Good Hope Raiders visited Randolph Ryan Gymnasium Friday for a pair of games at Brewer High School.

GDW saw the Raiders Thursday defeat Priceville 45 to 31 and fall to Decatur at Priceville.

Another team that GDW saw from Priceville Thursday was Cold Springs. The Eagles finished up with new leader Drew Adams in defeating Decatur in a very intense contest. CS fought hard but fell 48 to 37 to 2A power Decatur Heritage.
Teams can conduct workouts for an undisclosed time until they can officially begin working out for the upcoming hoops season in late September and early October.
