Schwellenbach gets the Braves out of their losing skid:

Seven innings for Schwellenbach & a Murphy slam leads the Braves:

GDW Analysis:
ATLANTA: Spencer Schwellenbach did his thing on the mound Saturday evening for the Atlanta Braves.
One swing of the bat from C Sean Murphy was a huge dividend for the Braves to knock off the Philadelphia Philles 6 to 1 and end a three game losing streak.
Schwellenbach claimed his fourth consecutive victory and fifth in his last six games for the Braves.
He now has gone into the 7th inning in his last three starts.
Against the Phillies, Schwellenbach cooled off a ball club that smoked the Braves 13 to 0 the night before.
The righty gave up 1 run in 7 innings, allowed the Phillies 3 hits, walked one and delivered a season best 12 strikeouts.
He gave up the run in the 6th and held the Phillies in check in the 7th.
Then came the Murphy round tripper to extend the advantage from a run to five.
Braves manager Brian Snitker spoke with Schwellenbach after the top of the 7th. He was already set to relieve him with the bullpen showing some grit to get Schwellenbach to 7 & 4, the best record on the squad.
Now the Braves will try to nail down the weekend series with Game 3 Sunday at 12:35 p.m. CST.
It will be Spencer Strider for the Braves against Ranger Suarez.
The game will be live on 92.1 FM.
The Braves are in a 9 game home stand with 1 left vs. the Phillies, 3 against the Angels and a series at home vs. the Orioles on 4th of July weekend.
