GDW Analysis:
Vinemont is a ball club that loves to move the ball quickly down the court. The Lady Eagles had their way with a 23 point opening period on the scoreboard by making 7 FGs, 2 treys and 7 of 9 FTs.
Controlling the game from the start proved to be superior for the No. 1 seed out of this area and too much for Hanceville to overcome.
Robinson would end the half by scoring from the top of the key as she had 16 points at the break and the Lady Eagles led 38 to 19.
She stood out for her team with 26 points and now has 1,894 in her Vinemont career.
For Hanceville, Moore was the Lady Bulldogs' driving force by hitting 8 of 9 from the line to go with 5 FGs from inside the paint.
Farr, who tossed in 14 the night before in a 41 to 34 quarterfinal win at JB Pennington, scored three treys and came back after being slightly injured in the 3rd period.
What was pleasing for Vinemont coach Emily Willoughby was seeing her starters show balance scoring and also got three reserves to make scoring contributions too.
Millwood landed a three in the 4th to make it 65 to 35 and send the game into a hot clock for the rest of the encounter.
The win has Vinemont at 20 victories. This is the first time in over 20 years the Lady Eagles have composed back to back 20 win campaigns. Vinemont earned 22 victories last season.
Holly Pond plays steady to eliminate Locust Fork:
Delivering 15 points in the first period and also in the 2nd was huge for Holly Pond from the offensive side Friday evening.
The Lady Broncos showed good defense in keeping Locust Fork shooting guard Haley Dutton scoreless in the opening half and allowing the Lady Hornets 4 points in the 2nd and 4 FGs through halftime.
Up 30 to 13 at the half, Holly Pond's large advantage was reduced with Locust Fork getting back in the game at 38 to 28 early in the 4th.
Sadie Nail tossed in a three and had a FG in the last stanza with Butts scoring a three and making 4 of 6 at the foul line.

For the game, Mary Hartline's Lady Broncos were 13 of 18 in free throws, 10 of 12 during the 2nd half and 6 of 8 in the final period.
The rematch:
Monday 6:00 p.m. from the Pinnacle at Vinemont.
Vinemont defeated Holly Pond 56 to 49 on December 19 and 62 to 50 at home January 13 in the two area assignments.
Holly Pond is the defending area tournament champion for upsetting Vinemont last year and going on to reach the championship game of the Northwest Regional from Wallace State.

Vinemont has a 9 & 3 record on the home floor.
Holly Pond has momentum with a 4 game winning streak entering the championship bout.
