 GDW Analysis:
All of a sudden, the Vinemont Lady Eagles have more games to play in a short period of time than any team that is currently playing in the NBA.
Monday's game at Cullman Christian School was the first in a span of five for Emily Willoughby's Lady Eagles in the next 8 days.

Vinemont started strong with a 15 to 0 lead at 3:30 of the opening period, then shook off a slight pause with Cullman Christian hitting some FGs and closing it to 20 to 7 prior to the ending of the period.
Robinson was a spark for the Lady Eagles with 9 on a 17 to 6 run in the 2nd that saw the visitors move the advantage to 38 to 13.
Entering the final period, Willoughby had her starters on the bench with the reserves making some good contribution on offense as Millwood had 2 treys in the final half along with Basinger scoring from downtown.
Vinemont plays at Locust Fork Tuesday in 3A, Area 11. The Lady Eagles are 5 & 0 and on top of the area standings.
Then the Lady Eagles journey to Hanceville Friday for an area game that will be carried live on WKUL FM (92.1).

Next week, the Lady Eagles meet Good Hope at home on January 12 in a game very pivotal to the county standings. Good Hope is 4 & 1 in the county with Vinemont a game back in 3rd place at 3 & 2.
Next Tuesday, the Lady Eagles get an area rematch at home vs. Holly Pond.
This is the most games by a local girls program in a short span, especially with 2026 just getting started as Monday was the 5th day of the new year.
