GDW Analysis:
VINEMONT: West Point finished its quest of being the best in 2025 Cullman County volleyball Thursday evening by sweeping Good Hope in straight sets from Vinemont Gymnasium.
The victory for West Point ended Good Hope's run at claiming the championship trophy from 2021 to 2024.
West Point earned the county title in 2019 and 2020 prior to the event being controlled the next four years by Good Hope.
The Lady Warriors took an hour to topple Good Hope 25 to 13, 25 to 11 and 25 to 17.
Since playing a county quad match September 23, West Point has defeated county opposition five times.

What was incredible on Thursday was the fact that West Point never trailed in the first two sets.
Coach Meagan Cagle's Lady Warriors jumped to a 3 to 0 lead and would move the advantage in the opening set to 11 and 4.
They controlled the set by strong play at the net from Laklin Shadix, Adrianna Owens, Kenadi Pagan and Kenlee Perry.
All took turns at solid kills and for the match, were superior in this area than the Lady Raiders.
A 6 to 0 lead in the 2nd set was keyed by good serves from Patton Fell and later in the set by Caitlee Simmons.
Simmons recorded six straight points on serve including an ace. A kill by Owens closed out the set and West Point was moving onward of grabbing the trophy.
Good Hope did get on the scoreboard first in the 3rd set. A 3 to 0 lead for Natasha Holder's Lady Raiders lasted briefly.
Good Hope played much better in this set with freshman Isabella Guzman making an impact.
West Point would move on top as Shadix got into a serving groove by scoring seven in a row.
Pagan provided a kill from the front to make it 20 to 13 West Point.
The match ended at 7:58 p.m. on a service point from Simmons. West Point played this encounter in 1 hour.
The Lady Warriors now have 21 wins on the season in 32 matches. This is the 2nd year with Cagle taking command of the program.
Good Hope fell to 22 & 15.
