West Point GF caps off great year for Cullman County athletics:
County schools to graduate this weekend from Wallace State:

Seniors in the Cullman County school system now look to the weekend with graduation the next phase following a lot of success in athletic competition during the 2024/25 school year.
Gameday Weekly reflects on how the year transpired, starting back last August and now closing out earlier this week with West Point earning a 1st time AHSAA golf state championship.
Fall sports county champions:
Football - Fairview Aggies
Volleyball - Good Hope Lady Raiders
Cross country - Cold Springs Lady Eagles

Fairview would have a perfect regular season on the gridiron, Good Hope VB came from 4th seed to repeat as the best in the county.
Cross country once again was stout with Cold Springs winning the AHSAA championships in early November in Lawrence County.

Basketball - Good Hope Lady Raiders

Indoor track - Cold Springs Eagles
Good Hope Lady Raiders put on a great run that got them to the 4A state title game for the 2nd year in a row.
Good Hope hoops was the best among the county in claiming another county crown.
Cold Springs showed its ability to perform well in the indoor state meet held at the Crossplex in Birmingham.

Fairview ended West Point's run of 8 straight county baseball championships.
Good Hope softball showed a solid ball club in winning the event for the 2nd consecutive year.
West Point had a good run in winning the county track meet held at Wallace State.
The Cold Springs Lady Eagles blazed a trail of a county championship, winning a sectional and finishing a great spring in claiming the 1A/2A title from Britton Field/Woodard Stadium at Cullman High School.
Vinemont BB gave the county a great image with 26 wins and a first time berth to the quarterfinals of the AHSAA 3A playoffs.
The Eagles earned victory over Randolph County and Phil Campbell by winning the decisive 3rd game of both series.
Good Hope softball took down the 4A, Area 13 title and won a first round game in the North Regional. The Lady Raiders would get 25 victories in 2025, winning 12 of their last 17 before they were eliminated with a pair of close losses to Hamilton and Cordova.
While West Point went out to claim the 5A golf championship at Oxmoor Valley, the West Point Lady Warriors gave a good outing under adverse conditions to finish 2nd.
County schools recorded four AHSAA championships in 2024/25 and a pair of runner ups.
GDW congratulates the winners from each sport and sends well wishes to the student athletes in their graduation this weekend.
Cold Springs, Hanceville, Good Hope, Holly Pond and Fairview will hold its ceremony Saturday from Tom Drake Coliseum.
Seniors at Vinemont and West Point will graduate from there Sunday.
