GDW Analysis:
A close game after one period Tuesday became dominated by the No. 4 team in Class 5A at the Athens Sports Arena to close out their 2 day venture in this year's Border Wards.
West Point allowed Oxford one FG and a FT in the 2nd with the Lady Warriors getting 7 FGs combined by Jaelyn Faulkner (3) and Harbison (4).
A trey and a deuce by Fell factored in to with John Welborn's Lady Warriors sprinting to a 43 to 19 lead at halftime.
West Point shut down Oxford, never letting the Yellow Jackets score double digit points following the first period.
In the last 24:00, the Yellow Jackets managed just 5 FGs and scored only twice the entire game from 3 point range.
The Lady Warriors scored 23 in the last half and was able to make it one sided with 8 getting into the scoring column in their last game for the month of December.
West Point has won 16 in a row, sporting the best mark of local hoops halfway into the 2025/26 schedule.
This was the first time the Lady Warriors had participated in this post Christmas event from Athens High School.
West Point romped over Montgomery Academy 59 to 28 on Monday afternoon prior to its romp of Oxford Tuesday.
