WP: Maddox Chapman 17, Jaxson Shelton 16, Nolan Franklin 15, Kade Vincent 13, Graph Bryam 5.
LC: Jackson Smith 26, Ben Newton 15, Jack Boyll 10.
GDW Analysis:
Lawrence County was superior at the start of the game thanks to Smith. The senior small forward buried West Point with 16 first period points as the Warriors went down 18 to 2 halfway in the stanza.
However, the Warriors managed to score from the line to ignite the team making 7 of 8 and treys by Byram and Chapman got them back in the game, down 18 to 15 when the first closed out.
The Warriors would once again find themselves down by double figures. Lawrence County went up 10 points in the 3rd as West Point worked its way to make a game of it, down 49 to 47 when the last period began Tuesday night.

A key in the final period for Mason Voce's Warriors was outscoring the Red Devils in FGs 9 to 2. Their twin towers of Chapman and Shelton netted 13 together in the last period.
Providing a scoring punch too were Vincent with a three and Franklin scoring five. Franklin was 5 of 6 at the line and Vincent 4 of 4 for good accuracy between the two from the stripe.
Smith's roaring start would crash for the Red Devil shooter. He had 21 by halftime and scored one FG in the 2nd half, a trey in the 3rd.
Foul trouble and physical play by West Point would wear down Smith with Newton taking over the scoring chores having all of his 15 in the 2nd half, 10 during the 3rd.
This is the 1st of 4 consecutive games in 5A, Area 15 for the defending area champion Warriors.
