WEST POINT: Volleyball season is not far away with teams to spend July in playdays to set themselves up for the new season that starts in late August.
For the present time, the West Point Lady Warriors are providing tips on the game to kids from kindergarten to the 6th grade for a couple of days from Jim Boyd Gymnasium.
Gameday Weekly made an appearance to the camp Monday morning.
Forty three young ladies are understanding various functions in the sport.
The camp consists of passing, serving, setting and game play.
Joining head coach Meagan Cagle in her 2nd year at West Point is her coaching staff, current and former players.
West Point went on a good run late in the season to reach the regional round of the 5A state playoffs.
Cagle told GDW her Lady Warriors will be taking part in playdays next month from Guntersville and West Morgan.
The camp will close out Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 11:30.
