West Point vs. Hanceville jamboree is played after weather delay:

HANCEVILLE: A thunderstorm interfered with Friday's jamboree game between the West Point Warriors and Hanceville Bulldogs to be delayed for 30 minutes.
The storm rambled through the Hanceville campus from 5:15 p.m. and closed out at 6:20 p.m.
With lightning in the area, the kickoff was delayed 30 minutes as Hanceville principal Daniel Wakefield informed Gameday Weekly of the decision at 5:55 p.m.
Rain, lightning with occasional thunder gave way to sunshine, temperature in the mid 70s and lower humidity by 7:00 p.m.
West Point's varsity was superior in the two quarters they were to play against Hanceville.
The Warriors scored on four of five first quarter possessions and left the field after the 2nd period with a 42 to 0 decision.

 The third quarter was a battle of the junior varsity from legendary Ray Talley Stadium. Hanceville is now active in AHSAA football for 100 years.
West Point started the sport in 1964.
Senior RB Ollie Howell made a statement for the Warriors on the 1st play from scrimmage. Howell scampered for 55 yards to the Hanceville 15 yard line.
The Warriors scored on a Kolton Kimbrel 3 yard pass to Cooper Howard. Julio Fuentes would follow with the first of six made extra point conversions.
Hanceville's first series was brief. The Bulldogs threw an interception on 3rd down with the Warriors having the ball at the Hanceville 36.
Howard hauled in a 17 yard pass to take it to the end zone and a fast 14 to 0 lead for the Warriors.
Following a 22 yard Hanceville punt, the Warriors started their 3rd series from midfield.
Titan Thornton scored on a run from 8 yards out. It was 21 to 0 West Point at 6:43 of the first quarter.
West Point's defense forced a second interception with Maddox Chapman taking the pass and the Warriors in possession from the Hanceville 48.
The short drive concluded with an 18 yard scoring pass by Kimbrel to Carter McAfee.
On four possessions, the Warriors tallied four scores, eight first downs and on top 28 to 0.
Hanceville had a nightmare first stanza with one playing gaining positive yardage, two yards. The were tackled behind the line seven times and threw two incompletions and two interceptions.

 In the 2nd, the Bulldogs managed to move the ball up field and earn a first down.
However, the drive ended when the Bulldogs fumbled on 4th down and 2 near midfield.
TD runs in the 2nd from Rush Lamar and Mason Wilkins enabled the Warriors to close out the half with six scores on eight possessions.
Kimbril started at QB for coach Kevin McCrary's Warriors. Getting playing time in the first half behind center were Aden Ennis and Max Patterson.
Next week the season begins.
For Hanceville, a trip to Cold Springs Thursday in the county opener that will be on WKUL FM (92.1).
West Point heads into Winston County for a game with the Haleyville Lions next Friday.
