Cold Springs 28, West End 0:
COLD SPRINGS: Cold Springs moves to 6 wins out of 7 games and 2 & 1 in AHSAA 2A, Region 6 after winning their homecoming game Friday.
The Eagles led 12 to 0 at halftime. Cold Springs got two touchdowns on the board in the final half and produced their first shutout victory of the season.
Brendan Voce's Eagles have won four in a row and are 4 & 0 at Cranford Stricklin Stadium.
Vinemont 78, Hanceville 42:
HANCEVILLE: High scoring offense was the name for Vinemont with 35 points through halftime and 43 in the 2nd half. Vinemont outscored Hanceville 28 to 14 in the 3rd to build the lead to 63 to 35.
The Eagles have won five in a row, the first time this has happened under current coach Stephen Robinson.
Vinemont has a 4 & 0 record in 3A, Region 5 and 5 & 2 for the season. The Eagles have won 12 of their last 17 regular season games.
Good Hope 48, Curry 8:
GOOD HOPE: Homecoming was enjoyable for the 6th ranked Raiders in routing Curry in 4A, Region 5.
The Raiders are now 7 & 0 vs. this school from Walker County.
Good Hope has a 6 & 0 record and 4 & 0 in the region. The Raiders rolled to a 34 to 0 lead by halftime.
The win was no. 87 in the 15 year coaching career for Alan Scott. Scott has won 69 games in 11 years with Good Hope.
He is 5th all time in coaching victories in Cullman County schools football.
Whitesburg Christian 28, Holly Pond 6:
GURLEY: Holly Pond had a 6 to 0 lead on Whitesburg Christian in the 2nd quarter.
Whitesburg would move ahead with a pair of scores and then added two in the 2nd half to drop the Broncos to 2 & 2 in 3A, Region 8 and 3 & 3 for the season.
This was the first time the Broncos played the Christian school up in Madison County.
Priceville 26, West Point 0:
PRICEVILLE: Momentum the West Point Warriors had with back to back victories went awry Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.
Priceville turned a 7 to 0 lead at halftime into control with a 26 to 0 advantage at the end of the 3rd.
The Warriors fell to 3 & 3 and 1 & 2 in 5A, Region 7.
Priceville shares the top spot of the region with Fairview.
