Cold Springs Eagles claim 54 to 22 victory over Cleveland:

GDW Analysis:
COLD SPRINGS: Things are very much different for the Cold Springs Eagles this season at Cranford Stricklin than in 2024.
Last year, the Eagles failed to claim victory in five attempts at home.
How it has changed a month into the 2025 schedule with the Eagles executing very well from both sides of the football.
On Friday evening, Cold Springs ran over the Cleveland Panthers 54 to 22.
This gives the Eagles 3 for 3 in victory from Stricklin Stadium. It allowed the Eagles to even their record in 2A, Region 6 to 1 & 1.
Cold Springs put TD drives of 60 and 70 yards into the Cleveland end zone in the first quarter for a 16 to 0 lead.
A TD in the 2nd sent Brendan Voce's group to the locker room ahead 22 to 0.
The Eagles erupted for three TDs in the 3rd and scored once in the final period.

 Cold Springs has accounted for 213 points through 4 games, averaging 53.2 a contest.
On the night, the Eagles tallied 466 yards of offense, 210 by halftime and 256 in the final half. The Eagles netted 25 first downs and had scoring drives of 60, 70, 99, 56 74, 63 and 61 yards.
What Voce did not adore was the Eagles with three double figure penalties in the 2nd, one that allowed Cleveland to gain a first down following a third down run.
The Eagles gave up three scores in the 2nd half on two scoring drives of 55 yards and a 70 yard march to the end zone in the final period.
Cold Springs' scores were the following:
Ayden Black 15 yard pass to Eli Voce in the 1st.
Casen Alexander 30 yard run in the 1st
Alexander 14 yard run in the 2nd
Black 56 yard run in the 3rd

 Black 13 yard pass to Breydon Hallman in the 3rd.

 Cooper Johnson 32 yard run in the 3rd.
Tycen Kilgo 3 yard run in the 4th.
Alexander had 129 yards on the ground through the first half.
Black tallied 55 yards of running and 55 yards passing in the 3rd.
Kilgo would amass 59 yards rushing.
Voce caught 5 passes for 57 yards and a TD.

Now the Eagles look to playing well with their next two games non regional and on the road.
Cold Springs will go to Winston County Friday and finish the month with a game at Lynn September 26.

AHSAA Northwest Regional 2A semifinal: Decatur Heritage 17 11 12 12 4 - 58 (18 & 9) Cold Springs 14 11 16 11 11 - 65 (29 & 4) CS: Cash Dickerson 21, Lindan Hill 17, Breydon Hallman 14, Ayden Black 8, Ethan Day 4, Wyatt Barker 2. DHCA: Jordan Davis 22, Sam Gardner 12, Jaion Miller 9. GDW Analysis: Cold Springs rose to the challenge with defending regional champion Decatur Heritage in the OT period Tuesday from Tom Drake Coliseum at Wallace State. A 3 pointer by Black gave them the lead at 57 to 54. Black's 2nd trey in the OT sent them ahead at 60 to 56. Dickerson tallied a pair from the FT line at 0:39 and the lead was 62 to 58. Dickerson closed out the huge win in Drew Adams' first season with a FT with 0:08 left. The 8th grader was 9 of 13 from the FT line. Hill went 7 of 14 shooting and had 8 rebounds. Hallman enjoyed perfection of going 7 of 7 from the field, adding a game high 11 rebounds. Black added 4 assists to the clutch scoring he delivered in the 4th and OT. Davis showed a great outing for Decatur Heritage with 8 of 16, 4 of 9 treys, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Up next for Cold Springs: Vs.
