Cold Springs runner earns prep spotlight for Gameday Weekly

Ethan Edgeworth of Cold Springs has left an indelible mark on the running world, with his exceptional performances in cross country and track and field for the Eagles. The Gameday Weekly prep athlete spotlight has acknowledged his prowess in the sport. In his last event donning the royal blue colors, Edgeworth shattered the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) record for the 3,200 meter run at the Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville with a remarkable time of 8:53.56 in the Running Lane Track and Field Championships. This feat followed the Eagles' triumph in the Class 2A state championship held at Mark Britton Field/Oliver Woodard Stadium in Cullman High School. Edgeworth's running prowess is widely recognized, as evidenced by his MVP award at the Cullman County track and field meet held at Cranford Stricklin Stadium on the Cold Springs campus. He was selected, alongside Vinemont runner Ethan Lemons, as the top senior male athlete in Cullman County for the 2022/23 athletic season by Gameday Weekly. Edgeworth has committed to running cross country for the University of Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference.  Photo Credit Cold Springs Runners Club
