GDW Analysis:
MONTGOMERY: Cullman senior Allie Krigbaum was a bright spot for the North girls in the AHSAA tennis all star encounter vs. the South Tuesday from Lagoon Park.
Krigbaum defeated Bailey Woods from St. James 6-4 in the first set and was credited with a forfeit in the 2nd set.
Team North managed just three victories with the South taking six matches and winning the all star event for the first time.
The North leads the series with four victories to one for the South.
On the varsity side, it was the North that was the victor in taking down the South group of all stars 6 to 3.
Krigbaum was coached in the mid summer classic in the Capitol City by Kristie Alderman of Donoho and Reece Morton from Huntsville.

News and notes from All Star Sports Week:
A weather delay took place Tuesday during the AHSAA all star tennis match from Lagoon Park.
Lightning was seen around the facility that forced the competitors off the court until the storm passed.
Once the storm moved out, the North won its match 6 to 3 with the South taking victory over the North girls 6 to 3.
From the basketball games played at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex, the South teams swept the North for the first time since 1999.
Team South girls used a 30 to 20 surge in the 4th to break a tie and post an 85 to 75 victory. This stopped a 7 game losing streak. The South has only 4 wins in 28 years the game has taken place in Montgomery.
The South gained a 20 point lead in the opening period and was able to outlast the North hoopsters 76 to 65.
The North is still in command of the all time series with 51 victories to 31 for the South.
