Holly Pond Lady Broncos are 3 & 0 in the area too after defeating JB Pennington for the 2nd time this season.
Cold Springs Lady Eagles handled Falkville with ease at home in the opener of 2A, Area 11.
The Fairview Lady Aggies squeezed out a hard fought victory in 5A, Area 14 on the road with Arab.
Vinemont ran its overall record to 9 & 3 in outscoring Hanceville in 3A, Area 13 hoops from Vinemont. The Eagles share the area lead at 3 & 0 with Holly Pond.
Holly Pond took care of JB Pennington for the 2nd time in a two week period. In 2 games vs. Pennington, the Broncos have outscored the Tigers 111 to 45.
Cold Springs opened 2A, Area 11 play from its floor in beating Falkville.
West Point got a win at Addison Friday evening in the 1st of back to back games by 1A schools from Winston County.
The Warriors host Meek in the Randy Jones Classic Saturday. Meek is 7 & 0 after romping over 1A, Area 13 foe St. Bernard on the road Friday night,
