AHSAA volleyball eagerly looks to the new season that starts on Thursday.
Gameday Weekly presents outstanding personnel going into their senior season with their teams looking for leadership and determined efforts.
This group of people have earned this recognition based on how they participated in the sport as a junior in 2024.

 Fairview Lady Aggies:

Brannon was superb on the front line for Cullman last season and will be counted on for the Lady 'Cats to get back to the 6A Regional with Amy Hudson in her 2nd year.
Leadership quality at Good Hope is keyed by Koch as a setter and Marshall a defensive specialist.
Twitty shows strength in her ability as an attacker for Hanceville.
Experience seniors at Vinemont and West Point will have huge results with the two teams seeking another strong run to the postseason in 3A and 5A play.

 Brannon, Quick, Koch, Twitty, Miller, Robinson, Simmons, Will, Stidham were all performance selections by GDW from the 2024 season.
Opening day of local volleyball (Thursday):
Hanceville, West Point at Cold Springs 3:00
Sumiton Christian at Cullman Christian 5:00
Good Hope, Albertville at Madison Co 5:30
Brindlee Mtn, Meek at Vinemont 4:00
Fairview, Susan Moore at Pennington 4:30

 Tri matches are scheduled except for Cullman Christian as Sumiton comes from Walker County for the best of five with the Lady Lions.

 Cullman will see the season opener on Saturday with 4 assignments at the Smith Lake Classic hosted by Curry High School.
Holly Pond gets on the floor in its opener next Tuesday at Brindlee Mountain.
St. Bernard will open the season on August 21 in a tri match at Hanceville.
