Vinemont the only local team on the playoff field Friday evening:

GDW Analysis:
Westbrook Christian 49 to 0 over Vinemont Friday.
Vinemont finishes 6 & 5, was 3rd in 3A, Region 5 at 5 & 2 and in the state playoffs for the 6th consecutive season under Stephen Robinson.
Eagles had a 6 game winning streak after starting the season 0 & 2.
Jacksonville 14, Ramsay 7 in OT in 5A: Jacksonville went to Legion Field and returned home with an upset of Ramsay by scoring a TD in the extra period and ending the game with an interception.
Jacksonville is scheduled to host the Fairview Aggies in the 2nd round next Friday.
Russellville 29, Boaz 28 in OT in 5A: Russellville pulled it off at Golden Tiger Stadium with a TD and a 2 point conversion in the extra period after Boaz had scored on its OT possession.
Russellville, 2nd in 5A, Region 7 to Fairview, will play at Briarwood Christian in the 2nd round.
Hartselle 33, Buckhorn 7: Hartselle routs Buckhorn Friday at JP Cain Stadium to improve to 10 & 1 on the season.
The Tigers will play the winner of Homewood/Pell City in the 2nd round next Friday in Class 6A.
Next week for the following:
Fairview Aggies: At Jacksonville in 2nd round of Class 5A. The Aggies and Golden Eagles have never played one another.
Good Hope Raiders: At West Morgan in 2nd round of Class 4A.
West Morgan leads the series all time 3 victories to 2 for the Raiders.
The games are to be on November 14 and to kick off at 7:00 p.m.
