WEST POINT: Being in a holiday spirit is West Point basketball.
The Warriors are hosting a post-Christmas classic with teams coming from different locations in having good credentials for holiday style hoops.
West Point and Good Hope represent Cullman County for the 2025 event.
Danville and Decatur Heritage carry the banner of Morgan County, Corner is a quality program from Jefferson County, Springville displays great pride out of St. Clair County and Gulf Shores makes a distant trip from Baldwin County.

The facts:
West Point has the 2nd best record of local hoops at 10 & 5, 7 & 2 in December and 4 & 2 at Jim Boyd Gymnasium.
Good Hope has adjusted from a slow start with 4 wins in its last 6 decisions.
Decatur Heritage has the highest ranking of any participant, currently 2nd in Class 2A.
Corner is ranked 9th in 5A. The Yellow Jackets won the Hanceville Thanksgiving Tournament with victories over Vinemont, Good Hope and Hartselle.
Springville has good numbers at 12 & 1 and Gulf Shores has enjoyed winning in 8 of its 12 outings into the current schedule.
West Point vs. Danville will be a rematch as the two fought hard in a Veterans Day game November 11 at Wallace State. West Point pulled it out by the final of 66 to 52.
Good Hope and Corner see each other once again. The Raiders went into OT with Corner in the Hanceville Tournament semifinal round. Corner edged them 66 to 63.
