Honoring Our Heroes: Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony Coming to Alabama’s 4th District

An american flag is flying in the wind on a pole

A special recognition ceremony will be held this August to honor the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War. Hosted by Congressman Robert Aderholt, this heartfelt event is open to all Vietnam veterans living in Alabama’s 4th Congressional District.

This ceremony is part of a national effort to provide long-overdue recognition to veterans who served during one of the most challenging times in our nation's history. Each eligible veteran will be formally recognized and presented with a special lapel pin as a symbol of appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

Whether you're a Vietnam veteran or know someone who is, this is a powerful opportunity to take part in a moment of honor and reflection.

How to Register

Veterans or family members may call 256-546-0201 to learn more and begin the registration process. There is no cost to participate, but registration is required.

Why It Matters

Thousands of service members from Alabama answered the call during the Vietnam War. For many, the return home came with little or no recognition. This ceremony is a chance to publicly say, "Welcome home" — and "Thank you."

Please help spread the word to ensure every eligible veteran in our district has a chance to be recognized.
