Underclass students see the 2024/25 school year ending:

GDW Analysis:
      Non seniors in Cullman County schools and Cullman City schools look forward to Thursday.
It will be the final day for these people in closing out the 2024/25 school year.

 Cullman City Schools report students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
Those who attend a school in the Cullman County system will be released at 1:00 p.m.
Graduation for Cullman High School will be Friday at 7:00 p.m. from Tom Drake Coliseum at Wallace State CC.
Outstanding senior student athletes from Cullman are recognized by Gameday Weekly.

LK Granger - volleyball, basketball
Presley Reeling - softball
Fysher Dahlke, Colter Bowen - baseball
Ava Ray, Karina Harris - volleyball
Will Drake & Sadie Graham - golf.

 The process of changes to be going on in the athletic department of both school systems has been active for at least a month.
More is possible now that the summer months are around the corner.
This is the following changes in county schools:
Cold Springs - Drew Adams (BK), Paige Adams (G BK)
Good Hope - Griffin Morris (BK)
Hanceville - TBA (G BK)
Vinemont - James Brown (BK), Kaydi Woodard (VB)
The following changes in city school athletics:

 Tammy West - (G BK)
Trent Walker - (FB)
Cullman is also in search of a softball coach after Jessica McBrayer held it during the 2025 season.
GDW is unaware of any more changes with the main sports GDW covers through the county schools and city schools.
Basketball playdays are to begin on June 3 GDW has found out through reliable sources.
The playdays will be running through the later part of June.
Volleyball playdays are to occur in July as well as football clinics, such as 7 on 7 passing and OTAs.

 The AHSAA All Star Sports Week is to be the week of July 21/25 in Montgomery.
Locals that will be participating as of the present time are Reagan Robinson of Vinemont and Jaelyn Faulkner of West Point in girls basketball and Paizley Whitlow of Cold Springs in cross country.
Spring sports that just finished have yet to release the rosters for the North and South in baseball, softball, golf, soccer and tennis.
Cold Springs cross country and girls track coach Casey Howell and West Point golf coach Junior Lynn will be honored for leading their teams to an AHSAA state championship.
GDW will be following playdays and much more in prepping for the new AHSAA season that will start approximately on August 21 for football, cross country and volleyball.
