Legendary coach takes over Coosa Christian on an interim basis:

GADSDEN: A legend in AHSAA football has been named interim coach at Coosa Christian School.
Rush Propst was given the position on Wednesday according to a media report.
Coosa Christian last Friday suspended head coach Mark O'Bryant for one year after the 2A school was charged with violation of the transfer rule.
The Conquerors were forced to forfeit games for playing an ineligible. One of the games that became a loss by forfeit was against the Cold Springs Eagles October 4.
That allowed Cold Springs to finish 4th in 2A, Region 6 and appear in the state playoffs under coach Brendan Voce.
Propst is well known for his success at Hoover High School. In 9 years from 1999 to 2007, the Bucs won 110 games, lost only 16 and took home the 6A state championship five times.
Propst went into the state of Georgia, coaching at Colquitt County School. His record with them was 86 & 25 and back to back state titles in 2014 and 2015.
He went to Pell City two years ago, staying there for one season. The Panthers won only one out of 10 decisions.
In the AHSAA, Propst has coached to an astounding record of 177 wins, 70 losses, a winning percentage of .710.
Coosa Christian is scheduled to play at Cold Springs in 2A, Region 6 play October 3.
This is the first time according the GDW that Propst will be coaching an AHSAA game inside Cullman County.
