Cold Springs:

Defeated Hanceville 48 to 30 in 2024 opener
Eagles open the new season at Cranford Stricklin Stadium August 21 vs. the Hanceville Bulldogs in the WKUL FM (92.1) Game of the Week.
Cullman:
3 & 2 in season opener since 2020.
Last time to win a season opener was 2022 when the Bearcats blocked a punt in the closing seconds to knock off 3A power Mars Hill Bible on the road 13 to 10.
Bearcats will be at Britton Field/Woodard Stadium for the opener vs. Bob Jones. The game will be live on 98.3 FM.
Fairview:
5 & 0 in season opener since 2020.
Defeated Springville on the road in the 2024 opener 41 to 17.
The Aggies kick off the new season at Fultondale August 22.
Good Hope:
3 & 2 in season opener since 2020.
Last year, the Raiders started the season at West Point, claiming a 17 to 3 victory.
Good Hope's season opener will be on the 29th at James Shabel Stadium against West Point.
Hanceville:
1 & 4 in season opener since 2020.
Last time the Bulldogs won on opening night was in 2021 by a 28 to 16 final against the Vinemont Eagles.
Hanceville goes to Cold Springs in the season opener August 21. The game will be live on 92.1 FM.
Holly Pond:
2 & 3 in season opener since 2020.
Last time the Broncos were a winning in their opener was 2021 in routing Brindlee Mountain 53 to 0.
The Broncos play at Appalachian in the Oneonta in their opener August 22. The game will be available on hollypondbroncos.com
Vinemont:
3 & 2 in season opener since 2020.
The Eagles pulled out a 16 to 14 victory in the season opener last year against the Falkville Blue Devils in the WKUL FM Game of the Week.
Vinemont will meet Falkville in the opener August 22 from Burl Vest Stadium.
West Point:
2 & 3 in season opener since 2020.
In 2023, the Warriors got into a shootout with Good Hope, outscoring the Raiders 49 to 32 on a humid Friday from James Shabel Stadium.
The 2025 opener for the Warriors has them at Bubba Scott Stadium to take on the Haleyville Lions.
The best start by local teams in a season opener in recent time was 6 & 2 in 2020.
Cold Springs, Fairview, Cullman, Good Hope, Holly Pond and Vinemont came out on top.
A season ago, the locals went 4 & 4 as Cold Springs, Fairview, Good Hope and Vinemont were winning their matchup.
A lot of traveling for the first week with Fairview, Holly Pond, Vinemont and West Point visiting a nearby county.
Good Hope is playing, but it's a jamboree for the Raiders next Friday at Pisgah.
Cold Springs and Cullman will be the only local teams to kick off the 2025 schedule in the friendly confines of their campus.
