  HANCEVILLE: From the Veterans' Day Tip Off Classic Tuesday at Wallace State's Tom Drake Coliseum, local girls teams displayed their winning skills in five assignments.

Flash Facts:
  Thomas put Holly Pond in the lead with 7 points in the 3rd as the Lady Broncos rallied from a 26 to 24 halftime deficit to go into the 4th period ahead by the score of 44 to 38.
Sadie Nail and Madison Butts tallied 15 points together in the final period to send Holly Pond to 2 & 0 on the new season.
Good Hope broke open its battle with Dora in a 20 to 8 scoring spree during the 2nd, leading 43 to 25 at the half.
The Lady Raiders were awesome with 23 in the first, 20 in the second and 22 in the third with Dora unable to match them in the same situation.
Good Hope's defense allowed Dora eight points each in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th period.
Davis put up 18 of her 22 points between the 2nd and 3rd stanza. Lexi Marshall was hot for the 2 & 0 Lady Raiders with 11 of her 15 in the final period.
Sophie Konrad and Lucie Adams provided 15 points each with Good Hope having four in double figures.

 West Point erupted for a 21 to 1 lead through the opening period against Florence. The Lady Warriors went to halftime with a 34 to 8 advantage.
Camryn Faulkner anchored the first half scoring with 15 of her 17 points. West Point got its first win of the new season with Jaelyn Faulkner and Kealie Harbison contributing 10 points apiece to the scoring total.
Cullman went to work quickly vs. Arab in getting the advantage. A 15 to 4 lead from the first went to 31 to 13 at the half.
Cullman led by 53 to 33 margin in the final period prior to Arab closing on an 8 to 1 run before time expired.
Wilson was at her best in the paint delivering for the Lady 'Cats, now 2 & 0 under new coach Tammy West.
West's former squad, Cold Springs, got the Paige Adams' era going the right way. After Addison stayed with them at 13 to 11 in the first, the Lady Eagles used a 13 point 2nd period from Ella Dickerson with 4 FGs, 3 from 3 point land and a 29 to 18 cushion at the break.
The Lady Eagles led 51 to 29 after the 3rd and used a 15 to 0 surge in the 4th for a runaway victory.
Junior guard Aleah Addison was solid in the 2nd half, scoring 10 of her 14 points.
Freshman Kyleigh Graves gave Adams another weapon with 13 of her 15 points in the 2nd half.
