GDW Analysis:
The winning team in each game gained a double digit advantage by halftime.
Decatur Heritage, 2nd in the 2A poll, poured in 26 in the 2nd to make it 44 to 27 on first time visitor Gulf Shores at intermission.
Consistency was on display with Corner and Springville in scoring better than 40 by the opening half. Corner led Danville 43 to 18 and Springville had Good Hope down 42 to 23 through 16:00 of play.
Laird, a shooting guard for Corner, ripped the cords for 5 treys and had his 19 points by the half.
Nixon from Springville and also a shooting guard, torched the basket for 15 in the 1st and would complete the afternoon with 28 in their victory against Good Hope.
Davis and Gardner were a 1/2 punch in the Decatur Heritage defeat of Gulf Shores.
Davis netted 13 by the break, Gardner would tally 12 in the 2nd half on 6 FGs.
Between the 2nd and 3rd, Heritage had outscored Gulf Shores 51 to 36.
Vincent was the only true weapon for Gulf Shores with 20 by halftime and 14 in the last half.
