Local prep volleyball to be busy on Saturday:

Good Hope, Hanceville VB to host invitationals August 23:

GDW Analysis:
AHSAA volleyball started the 2025 season Thursday. The first weekend is active on a normal basis with plenty of assignments for the teams Gameday Weekly covers.
Good Hope and Hanceville will be entertaining others Saturday.
The "Volleybrawl" at Good Hope consists of four local programs the Lady Raiders know very well.
Good Hope is in Pool A with Vinemont and Westminster.
Pool B will have Cold Springs, Hayden and Fairview.
The matches will start at 9:00 a.m.
Court 1 - Good Hope vs. Vinemont
Court 2 - Hayden vs. Fairview
At 10:00 a.m.
Court 1 - Vinemont vs. Westminster
Court 2 - Cold Springs vs. Fairview
The 11:00 a.m. schedule
Court 1 - Good Hope vs. Westminster
Court 2 - Cold Springs vs. Hayden
Tournament play will start at 12:00 p.m. and go through later in the day from Good Hope Gym.
From Hanceville:

 Lady Bulldogs are scheduled in their invitational from Lane Horton Gymnasium the following:

 9:00 a.m. vs. Cleveland
10:00 a.m. vs. Cullman Christian School
12:00 p.m. vs. Southeastern
This event will go through the later part of the day from the Hanceville campus.
Cullman Christian schedule is the following:
10:00 a.m. vs. Hanceville
11:00 a.m. vs. Cleveland
1:00 p.m. vs. St. Bernard Prep
For St. Bernard, the following schedule
10:00 a.m. vs. Southeastern
11:00 a.m. vs. Brindlee Mountain
1:00 p.m. vs. Cullman Christian School.
Cullman is at Smith Lake Classic:
The Lady Bearcats will be at Curry High School Saturday with the following games:
9:30 a.m. vs. Addison
11:30 a.m. vs. Oakman
2:30 p.m. vs. Curry
4:30 p.m. vs. Hatton
West Point heads to Hoover:

 West Point is in the Juanita Boddie Tournament, a well known early season event. This will be at the Finley Center next to Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
West Point is scheduled to play at 4:00 p.m. Friday and continue on Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m.
Holly Pond goes to the West End Classic:
Holly Pond travels into Etowah County with the destination to be at West End High School in Walnut Grove.
The Lady Broncos are to be on the floor at 9:00 a.m. Saturday for their first assignment on the day,

 All 10 local teams will look to have a good Saturday and move onward with a full week of volleyball to be going on next week.
