Cullman's morale is better for the Bearcats finally get Trent Walker his first victory with the squad in knocking off Brewer last Friday on the road.
Back into Morgan County the Bearcats are with it being their friendly foe from Hartselle.
Hartselle has been smooth in giving up one touchdown in four of its five victories.
The Tigers started the season romping over Austin 39 to 7, whipping Jackson Olin 46 to 8, shutting out Columbia 63 to 0, defeating Decatur 42 to 7 and last week with a one sided victory on homecoming against Woodlawn.
Cullman has been involved in three close games for coach Walker with victory slipping through the grasp in the closing moments.
Cullman fell 21 to 20 in Game 2 at Mortimer Jordan, was edged by Athens 41 to 38 the following week and on September 12, Jasper tallied the game winner in the final 20 seconds and a 30 to 29 final.
Coach Walker understands his young team has to come out and endure what Hartselle presents to them.
Two years ago, at Cain Stadium, Hartselle handled the 'Cats 42 to 0.
Cullman defeated the Tigers on the road in 2020 by the score of 30 to 20.
Hartselle is not looking to have a letdown for the Tigers will see regional games after Cullman on the road at Athens October 10 and Jasper October 17.
The Tigers finish the regional schedule in Hartselle on the 24th with Muscle Shoals.
Cullman is still in contention for a playoff berth despite winless in three regional games.
The 'Cats play at Columbia next week and then face Decatur on the friendly confines of Britton Field/Woodard Stadium the 17th.
The Hartselle game is the 2nd of three consecutive road matchups for the 'Cats.
