Retired BK coach adjusting to new life as an athletic director:

Tim Miller is busy in his AD role at St. John Paul Catholic School:

GDW Analysis:
Last week looked to be routine to see Tim Miller on the sideline in a high school basketball game.
That may officially be the last time this happens for a legendary coach in AHSAA girls basketball.
Miller served as administrative coach for the North teams in the AHSAA all star games vs. the South from the Cramton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery.
But Miller is no longer an active coach in the AHSAA.
Miller retired from Hazel Green High School in the spring and accepted an offer to become athletic director at St. John Paul Catholic in Huntsville.
Gameday Weekly saw Miller on the North girls bench July 22 that included two outstanding local players, Reagan Robinson of Vinemont and Jaelyn Faulkner of West Point playing for the North.
The North unfortunately lost to the South 85 to 75 in seeing a 7 game winning streak in the mid summer classic come to a close.
Now Miller is back in the Huntsville area with his new school and busy in his new line of work.
St, John Paul is in search of a varsity basketball coach.
Miller made that announcement on the classified page of the AHSAA's website Monday.
That comes a week after the school had posted of taking applications for girls soccer coach.
SJP is a 4A program sanctioned in the AHSAA. In basketball, the catholic school competes against Madison Academy, Randolph, West Limestone and Westminster Christian.
Miller is known as the winningest state championship coach in AHSAA girls history with 11.

He won 7 in a row at Hazel Green from 2018 to 2024.
Miller has 752 career wins coaching at Hazel Green, Bob Jones and Jeff Davis.
He is ranked tied for 6th all time with legends June Seals and Ricky Austin.

These three are two games back of former Cold Springs mentor and current Cullman girls coach Tammy West.
Miller was selected to be the administrative coach in the AHSAA all star games by a selection committee.
He was on the North girls bench that was led by Athens' Capri Tucker and assisted by Fort Payne coach Steve Sparks.
Adjusting to a different role in sports will take time for Miller, especially when it comes to being around SJP in basketball season.
For the present time, the new AD at the catholic school in the Rocket City is dealing with the status of reading resumes, setting up interviews, making decisions and staying in contact with the administrators and board members representing SJP.
