Thrill of victory for Cullman, agony of defeat for WP and Vinemont:
Cullman wins at Jasper, WP loses in 3 OT, Vinemont falls at the Pinnacle:

GDW Analysis:
Cullman Bearcats found it to be "The Thrill of Victory" Tuesday in winning the AHSAA 6A Area 13 championship at Jasper 47 to 43.
"The agony of defeat" surrounded the West Point Warriors and the Vinemont Eagles.
West Point was defeated in Moulton by Lawrence County 83 to 79 for the 5A Area 15 title that went through 3 overtimes.
Vinemont was sluggish at the Pinnacle in the 3A Area 11 championship vs. Locust Fork. The visitors from Blount County romped over the Eagles 59 to 39.
Cullman:
This series has been nail-biting for the three games the two have experienced this season.
All close encounters as Jasper won both in the regular season 43 to 40 at home and 56 to 54 at Bearcat Arena.
Determined not to be swept by their area rival, the Bearcats grabbed the lead from the FT line in the final minute.
Jasper committed a turnover in the closing seconds as a another point from the stripe was enough for the Bearcats to take home the area title on the road.
Sam Dorough led the Cats with 14 points, Gray Hopper scored 12:
Cullman will host the runner up from Area 16 Saturday, either Lee Huntsville or Hazel Green.
The Bearcats are now 23 & 5 on the season.
West Point:
The Warriors were looking good in leading the Red Devils 30 to 17 at the half.
They took a 47 to 31 lead into the final period before victory against in the town of Moulton eluded them this season.
The game went into a 3rd overtime tied at 71 to 71. Lawrence County got the lead and celebrated a thrilling comeback to stop the Warriors' 8 game winning streak. West Point fell to 23 & 8 on the season.
West Point will play the champion of Area 13, Sardis or Boaz on Saturday. They are to play for the area title Wednesday evening in Boaz.
Vinemont:
Trying to defeat a team three times in the basketball season is not easy for it to happen.
Vinemont saw that Tuesday from the Pinnacle with Locust Fork getting the best of the Eagles in a 20 point victory.
The Eagles had claimed wins by 69 to 64 at home and 61 to 56 against the Hornets at Locust Fork in the regular season.
Vinemont is now 18 & 11 for the season.
The Eagles will play at Winfield Saturday 6:00 p.m. in the 3A sub regional round.
