GDW Analysis:
With the No. 2 seed for the Cullman County Tournament on the line, both teams gave the fans and Gameday Weekly a thrilling contest.
Three point shooting was much of the storyline Monday evening.
Good Hope hit 5 treys in a 21 point 2nd period and was able to grab the halftime advantage at 35 to 27 after Vinemont led following the first stanza, 17 to 14.
Marshall and Konrad were solid for the No. 2 team in 4A through the first half, combining to hit 5 of the team's 8 three pointers. Konrad had 3 and Marshall knocked down a pair.
But in the 3rd, Vinemont's defense clamped down on the Good Hope perimeter play, allowing the Lady Raiders one trey, that being scored by Marshall.
Vinemont started to answer with 3 point shooting as Miller got 2 in the 3rd with one by Robinson and one from Holcomb.
The Lady Eagles had tied the game at 44 to 44 after the 3rd, on a 17 to 9 scoring streak.
Adams, held scoreless for coach Justin Aby through 24:00, broke out of that stature with 2 treys and a FG in the 4th to create drama in crunch time.
It was a 3 from Adams giving Good Hope the lead at 59 to 58 with 0:38 remaining.
Miller sent Vinemont ahead to stay on a driving FG at 0:20 and a 60 to 59 lead.
Good Hope missed a FG, Holcomb got the rebound and passed it to Robinson who made one of two from the line with a second showing on the clock.

The Lady Raiders failed to score as time ran out with the win for Vinemont sending them into the county tournament 2nd in the pairings. Good Hope slipped to 3rd.

Good Hope's 4 game winning streak was broken with its 2nd loss in the 6 games in the county that sets up the pairings for the tournament.
This is a huge win for Emily Willoughby in her 2nd year at Vinemont.
Last season, Vinemont gained an upset of West Point at the Pinnacle and now Good Hope is a tremendous win for the Lady Raiders have been one of the best 4A programs across the state all season.
