Warriors' momentum before the playoffs snatched away by Brewer:

GDW Analysis:
  WEST POINT: Looking to grab a victory to end the regular season then set their sights on the playoffs, West Point's momentum was snared away from the Warriors Thursday evening by the Brewer Patriots.
Brewer erased a 1st quarter deficit, got the lead in the 3rd and held on to upset the Warriors 24 to 17.
West Point was coming off a 25 to 20 home victory the week before against Ardmore that clinched the Warriors a 5A state playoff berth.
In trying to compile six wins in the regular season, a 7 to 0 lead in the first quarter was never maintained.
Brewer scored twice in the 2nd and left for the locker with a new game of 14 to 14.
The Patriots moved ahead with a 3rd quarter FG and finished off victory to end the season with 4 wins against 6 losses.
The go ahead score for the Patriots came on a kickoff return after West Point had tied the contest with a FG.
West Point is 5 & 5 and will play in Round 1 of the 5A postseason next Friday at Scottsboro.

 Oak Grove 70, Hanceville 15:
  OAK GROVE: A difficult 2025 season ended for Hanceville with the Bulldogs getting dominated by the Oak Grove Tigers in the Southern part of Jefferson County.
Oak Grove ran out to a 28 to 7 lead in the first and was ahead 57 to 15 at halftime.
Hanceville's defense was a tough situation on the season for the Bulldogs gave up 663 points to the opposition, an average of 66.3 a game.
The Bulldogs go 0 & 10 in 2025 and have 1 victory in their last 20 games.
Idle this week:
  Vinemont: Eagles 6 & 4, will be in the 3A playoffs with opponent to be determined.
Cold Springs: Eagles 6 & 4 in having their best regular season since 2014.
Cullman: Bearcats compile a 4 & 6 record, winning 4 of their last 5 after a 0 & 5 start.
