Priceville Classic November 15
Being a part of the 2nd annual Priceville Lady Bulldog Classic, West Point scored six times in the first, twice on long distance shots and had Arab on the ropes with a 14 to 5 advantage,
Then the offense struggled with only three shots being added to the total in the 2nd and only two people to get into the scoring column.
Arab fought hard and was in striking distance at the half trailing 21 to 15.
A good third period by PG Jaelyn Faulkner as she delivered nine from her two jump shots and 5 of 7 at the line.
Laklin Shadix had a FG and FT in the stanza.
Arab was in contention as forward Lauren Lambert produced 7 in the 3rd with the Arabian Knights trying to get momentum.
The 3rd closed out with John Welborn's Lady Warriors' leading Terrance Maze's Lady Knights 33 to 28.
Shadix took over the scoring duty in the 4th on making three shots in the paint and a couple of free throws.
West Point had a good 2nd half from the line. After not visiting the stripe in the opening half, the Lady Warriors were 4 of 6 in the 3rd and 6 of 8 during the 4th. That would be a combined tally of 10 of 14 for 70 percent.
Jaelyn Faulkner's 19 was tops for the Lady Warriors with their 3rd win of the week.
Shadix had 13, Camryn Faulkner 9, Kealie Harbison 7 and Patton Fell 2.
Lambert gave Arab a good scorer in producing 14 points with Jill Stapler earning nine her from shooting guard position.

Buckhorn 70, Russellville 54
Makenzie Sears led Muscle Shoals with 18 in a very intense game with Lee Huntsville. Shoals outscored Lee 24 to 8 in the 2nd half after leading 28 to 18 at the break.
Hoover won a battle of 7A powers by an 18 to 9 advantage in the 3rd to get the lead and claim its first win of the new season.
Albertville's sharpshooting guard Lani Smallwood was sharp as normal, draining six treys to finish with 23 points and lead the Lady Aggies in a high scoring victory against Hazel Green.
Decatur Heritage was too superior for newcomer Hale County to the Classic. The Lady Eagles sprinted to a 28 to 7 lead by halftime.
A shootout with Buckhorn and Russellville featured plenty of scoring by both sides from 3 point territory.
Buckhorn was up 33 to 28 after the opening half and a 22 to 12 run in the 3rd carried the Lady Bucks to a comfortable margin in outscoring Russellville 70 to 54.
This was the highest scoring battle in 7 games hosted by Priceville High School on Saturday.
