Winning is great, but also a false impression when expected:

What did Alabama really gain in rout of La Monroe after FSU loss?:

Flash Thoughts:
As expected, the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled over Louisiana Monroe 73 to 0 last Saturday evening.
How much of this takes away the agony of their letdown on August 30 in Tallahassee to Florida State.
The Tide played to the game plan that was conducted by coach Kalen DeBoer.
Now Alabama prepares to see a visitor from the highly acclaimed Big Ten Conference come to Nick Saban Field/Bryant Denny Stadium this weekend.
The odds makers currently have the Tide as a three touchdown favorite against a squad that has gone from around the top of the Big Ten to the bottom tier as they were 5 & 7 last season and 3 & 6 in their conference.
Understanding the process is how yours truly is looking at this situation.
In two weeks, the fate of the season will be under the microscope when Alabama invades the hedges to play the Georgia Bulldogs.
What has to be for the Tide is to play pure executing football with Wisconsin. Those who lay out the odds for betting business purposes, have placed the Tide under the "8 Ball."
A good performance is a must, but many Tide fans are still subdued from the opener.
One fan, reportedly a woman from Guntersville, expressed if she won a lottery, she would want to take percentage of her winnings and get DeBoer off the capstone and athletic director Greg Byrne too.
First off, she has been claimed the winner of this jackpot.
Also, from my theory, the president, athletic director and board of trustees do not have to honor her request.
They are the ones who make the decision on the future of coach DeBoer.
Alabama is not the only collegiate football program currently without suffering frustration.
Another program that was once a power in the SEC, is sinking in Gainesville. That's the University of Florida.
The Gators were riddled with their own mistakes that cost them victory over the weekend in the Swamp against the University of South Florida.
Two penalties took TDs off the scoreboard. Another penalty was vital in the final drive that led USF to kick a short range FG and stun the Gators 18 to 16.
Now waiting for the Gators is No. 3 LSU under the lights at Tiger Stadium Saturday.
How many that deeply support the Gators are wanting to see Billy Napier take a hike?
The next three games very much indicate that once a strong group in the SEC, is now facing an uphill battle.
Florida will see LSU then go to Miami and have a bye week before their first game in October at the Swamp against Texas.
College football in today's society is wacky from the pressure of trying to stay in the hunt for a college football play and we are just two games into the 2025 schedule.
Alabama gets criticized for low numbers in the quest of NIL in comparison to other programs.
Winning can be a false impression to say the most.
Everybody loves to win, many do win when expected. Surprises can and do happen.
Vanderbilt going to Virginia Tech and coming home with a good performance was surprising for this is not the normal Vanderbilt team that plays hard and does not win regularly.
South Carolina better beware of the Commodores coming to Williams Brice Stadium Saturday night.
Going from one week to the next is very much like the construction of a building.
I see that as an example of where I live on 278 West with a new convenience store getting closer to its completion.
To the Crimson Nation, stay strong with more positive and less on the negative as the season moves forward with uncertainty for much to be waiting for DeBoer and his players through this month and well into October.
